new music

June 13th, 2008

I get a LOT of emails every day and try to respond. I thought a blog here would be in order since so many of those emails are about new artists and how Over Easy is an outlet to introduce you the listener to many of them. The funny part is some of the “new” artists aren’t really new. They may have been around for a while but never brought to your attention or heard anywhere else.  So I am happy to introduce you to the fine music out there and I will do my best to keep you informed. Of course many of you out there have introduce me to some great musicians that I have missed out on or completely forgot about from years ago. Thanks for that and thanks for listening to Over Easy

Pam singing Kiss??

March 30th, 2008

Okay not sure how I got myself into this singing thing, but I will be in a show this weekend and I get to do a little solo, singing Rock and Roll All Night. I know you’re thinking the laid back Over Easy host singing a rocking Kiss song!!! Now I won’t be in Kiss garb, but I will have a costume for each of the era’s. Yeah got my hippie outfit ready!! Check it out, the Canton Folllies this coming weekend at the Village Theater in Canton. This is the second annual show, with great music from the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. I will be your emcee. For a great night of music and fun, check it out and please no bad comments in case I miss a note or something.!!!! LOL

Easter

March 23rd, 2008

Happy Easter to all,
Went to Easter vigil last night, boy what a great celebration and renewal. Easter is always the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring equinox. Here are some intersting Easter facts: This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see for the rest of our lives. The next time Easter will be this early will be the year 2228. The last time it was this early was 1913.
Have a great Easter and try not to eat too many chocolate bunnies!! Pam

CLF Broadcast

March 19th, 2008

A BIG thank you to Darlene Peterson for bidding in the this years Children’s Leukemia Foundation radio-a-thon to have me do my show from her business. This past weekend, I took the show on the road and was at Darlene’s wonderful restaurant, Day Break Cafe in Port Huron.  It is a great eatery with fabulous food, delish!!  If you are in the area, stop by. Thanks again Darlene.

walking

March 14th, 2008

I know I have mentioned on the air many times that I don’t mind the cold. I’m a Michigan girl, what can I say. However, I really am liking this 50 degree weather. When it is warmer out I look forward to going on my walks. I take advantage of the nice neighborhoods and with my CD in hand go for a stroll listening to some of the many CD’s I get for the Over Easy show.  With all the walking though, I tend to go through shoes. For all you walkers out there, have you found a good walking shoe that lasts and has great support?

Over Easy featured artists

February 19th, 2008

Each week, as you know, I feature an artist and play their music both Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully you are signed up to receive my weekly eblast’s letting you know who the artist is and some information on that artist. Do you have a suggestion of an artist, solo or a band that you would like to see featured on Over Easy. Let me know and why.

Stay warm

Pam

February 5th, 2008

Okay so I’ve waited long enough to post a blog. I thought it appropriate to post my very first blog to say thank you to all of you who voted for me in the Strut Magazine best of ballot. The first surprise was when someone pointed out to me my name on the list of nominees. So thanks to those you got me nominated. We won’t see the results until April but until then Thank you Thank you Thank you for all of your support and for listening to Over Easy.
