Whenever I run into you out&about, I usually get 2 questions. 1) Why do you suck so bad on the radio? and 2) When’s ROCKIN ON THE RIVERFRONT?  Answers 1) God’s will 2) 1st show with Rick Derringer is ON for Friday July 24th!! 5 more to come. Ford is now #2 in U.S. sales, behind GM and AHEAD OF TOYOTA. You know if park a Prius next to beach, cat’s will try and bury it.

Ed McMahon and now Farrah Fawcet and MJ. Well at least the 3 number of deaths has been reached. Hopefully we’re done for a while. The thing that gets me about both Farrah and MJ is the fact that they were big stars in OUR generation. Not oldsters from our parents era, ala Big Ed. Kinda creepy….(makes me glad I don’t host the 3 at3!)

Now I’ve heard it all. The group P.E.T.A. is mad at President Obama for swatting a fly that was buzzing around him during a tv interview. It was actually quite a good ninja swat. Granted he didn’t use chop sticks ala Karate Kid, but he did get it on the first try. But now PETA is saying it’s cruelty to animals. You know what’s next? When they finally come up with a cure for AIDS and common cold they will be screaming “SAVE the VIRUS!”.  Unreal…

Yep. This should extinguish any Wings nightmares. We’re getting another big event. The World Series will be here. You heard me. Details at 11. Just kidding. We’re getting the WORLD SERIES of…BOWLING! Just saw it on the news. It’s later this summer and some of the Austrialian bowlers actually bowl with 2 hands. It  looks strange, but they end up with a ton of spin on the ball which translates into pin action. What would Ralph Cramden think?

It looks like the mighty AEROSMITH has been bitten by the injury bug again. They’re starting their 09 tour on June 10th with guitarist Brad Whitford on the bench. He’s recovering from surgery. Bobby Schneck, who has played with Green Day, Weezer and SLASH will fill in. It would way cool if Slash actually filled in but I’d probably have stroke.-Steve

It looks like the last gasp for the old Tiger Stadium. Too bad something couldn’t have been done to save and use it, but there’s not much fun money around these days. I went to Comerica Park Sunday, for only the second time, and really liked the place. There are so many great vantage points and it’s really user friendly AND I can’t do anything about it so…so it goes. I DO wish they’d demolish that old train station much more than the old ball park. How bout you?

That interference call in the 3rd period was exactly what I was talking about.

There’s been talk that the Red Wings cannot win game 3 in Pittsburg Tuesday night. The logic is something called a “league game”. That means the NHL does not want the series to go to 3-0 Wings because it would be bad for the League and tv ratings. The line of thinking is that the Red Wings will be penalized for every small infraction. This will include “phantom infractions.” Hockey is the one sport where the refs can change the nature of a game on a dime by sending someone to the penalty box and getting a 6 on 5. Even a great team can be neutralized by this. What do you think? Does it happen? Will it happen?-Steve

Time to start the Adam Lambert fronts for Led Zepp rumor. My wife thinks his voice is a bit too clean, but I replied, “Just give him 6 months hanging with those guys”. That should properly “season” his pipes…If he  lives!-Steve
